This post will summarize the article “COVID19 PCR Tests are Scientifically Meaningless.”
The whole foundation of the coronavirus panic is the RT-PCR test. But, the test has numerous problems associated with it. Here are excerpts from the article:
- It is also certain that we cannot know the false positive rate of the PCR tests without widespread testing of people who certainly do not have the virus, proven by a method which is independent of the test (having a solid gold standard).
- This test cannot rule out diseases caused by other bacterial or viral pathogens.
- The FDA admits that: “positive results do not rule out bacterial infection or co-infection with other viruses. The agent detected may not be the definite cause of disease.”
- The intended use of the PCR was, and still is, to apply it as a manufacturing technique, being able to replicate DNA sequences millions and billions of times, and not as a diagnostic tool to detect viruses.
- PCR is extremely sensitive, which means it can detect even the smallest pieces of DNA or RNA — but it cannot determine where these particles came from. That has to be determined beforehand.
- And because the PCR tests are calibrated for gene sequences (in this case RNA sequences because SARS-CoV-2 is believed to be a RNA virus), we have to know that these gene snippets are part of the looked-for virus. And to know that, correct isolation and purification of the presumed virus has to be executed.
- In addition, there is no scientific proof that those RNA sequences are the causative agent of what is called COVID-19.
With regards to the WHO policy of “Test, test, test,” despite any science to support such a policy, the article concludes that
“This indicates that the belief in the validity of the PCR tests is so strong that it equals a religion that tolerates virtually no contradiction. ”
If someone said to you that they had proved the existence of ghosts you would probably ask them to show you the proof. If they take out a fancy looking device that has a digital readout and it goes up and down as you walk around with the device would you believe that the meter was proving the existence of ghosts? The answer is probably “no” you wouldn’t believe it. That would be an appropriate amount of skepticism. An equal amount of skepticism is also appropriate with respect to claims about the PCR test.
Even if we were to assume that the PCR test was a reliable diagnostic tool, there are some interesting questions to be raised about how the test is used.
- Why is it assumed that a positive test is the same thing as a “Covid case” when most people who test positive don’t have symptoms?
- Why is it that when the test is given to the same person multiple times resulting in positive tests that all those positive tests are counted as Covid cases even though the tests relate to a single person?
- Why is no context added to reporting of increasing Covid cases when the increase in cases is primarily related to an increase in testing?
- Why did several labs in Florida report 100% of PCR tests to be positive?
- How can a PCR test be useful as a diagnostic test if, when it is given to the same patient on successive days, the results can flip back and forth from positive to negative and back again?
Even the saint of health care, Bill Gates, in a Wired interview says,
“The majority of all US tests are completely garbage, wasted. If you don’t care how late the date is and you reimburse at the same level, of course they’re going to take every customer.”
Gates admits that the tests are garbage and claims that the reason that they are garbage is because of the turnaround time. (The turnaround is so slow that positive people could be infecting others while they wait for the results.) So, why is such a fortune being spent on testing if the results are garbage?
California Governor Newsom announced that California has already done 11 million tests by late August and they cost from $125 to $200. That’s nearly $2 billion spent on testing. Well, it’s only money. Wait, maybe it is only about money and that explains a lot of the craziness!
There is no reason to place faith in the PCR test nor in the way in which it is applied. These tests, sadly, are about as reliable as our politicians and public health officials. Since PCR is the basis of the entire fear-based narrative of a new virus, the only conclusion is that there is no actual reason to believe the campaign of fear.
Update on August 31:
The New York Times has published an article Your Coronavirus Test Is Positive. Maybe It Shouldn’t Be. The article discusses the delays in the results and also that the tests may be too sensitive.
